Blueberry Muffins || Dairy Free Recipes
I'm introducing a new section into my blog - food, because who doesn't love food? And everything on here will be dairy free, due to my dietary requirements, so hopefully will be beneficial to some of you.
As soon as I returned to England in July I went out hunting for a dairy free recipe book, and my dad has just come back from work with one too so I now have two! I know everything is on the internet these days but I like having them all in a book, sectioned into categories, and also one of them was on offer so how could I not buy it?

Great British Food Festival Weekend
Everyone loves a bit of food and what's better than lots of food stall, chef demos, food competitions all happening in one place at one time!
Over the bank holiday weekend we had the Great British Food Festival come to Wiltshire, in the gardens of Bowood. They were so lucky with the weather as the sun was shining throughout each day and the temperatures were very high, at least compared to what we've been used to the rest of this summer. We were supposed to go on Sunday but I became quite ill (stupid anxiety) and didn't feel comfortable with leaving the house, so we went the Monday instead. Being the hottest day out of all three we were sweating all over (it didn't feel great).

40 Minutes Late to our Reservation
After a good three days being bed bound after a horrible illness I caught, I was eager to get out into the fresh (well Shanghai fresh) air and get a nice dinner along the Bund. Me and two friends booked a reservation at a restaurant called Lost Heaven. If you ever get to China, you need to visit this restaurant, the food is so nice.
Obviously Aneta, my flatmate, was running slightly late (she always is), which made us late for our reservation. When I say "slightly late", we were 40 minutes late... We got the metro to East Nanjing Road and then walked from there to the restaurant as it is nearly impossible to catch a taxi around that area on a Saturday night. So after a good 20 minute walk in about 27 degrees we made it to the restaurant. We went from a clean team to sweaty Betty's...lovely. The walk was worth it for the views I guess.
